Hi, I’m Kit.
This poem was inspired by meditation meeting of OA agnostics and atheists.
My Higher Power = Life Force
Let go, let the Life Force float gently to the surface
I relax and take it easy
The inspiration comes
from a sponsor’s mouth
from a comment in a meeting
from a series of coincidences
that fit together in a gestalt pattern
to speak to me
Then I can accept what was unacceptable
the things that fall short of the high bar I set for myself
I stop measuring progress or regress
I stop comparing
The solution is before me
And I walk through it
The Life Force gives me the courage to do the next right thing
